Even if you’ve tried a Traditional Irish Soda Bread Recipe, you might not have tried a Traditional Irish Farl Recipe. Another great Irish recipe game of war fire age hack 2017 you’ll want to add to your collection of St. Patrick’s Day 2010 recipes.

Irish Farl ingredients are the same as Irish Soda Bread, but farl is baked in a skillet or on a griddle instead of the oven. The result is a flatter, moister bread than Irish Soda Bread. Farl is best eaten fresh and warm, split apart like an English muffin and spread with butter and/or jam. Or cold farl can be grilled to reheat it.

Sift dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Make a well in center of dry ingredients, add milk to well. Stir until ingredients hold together. Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead 15 to 30 seconds. If dough is sticky, dust with additional flour.

Shape dough into a 6 to 8 inch circle. Use a sharp knife to cut all the way through dough, forming four wedges.

Use flour to dust a hot skillet or griddle. Place dough in skillet, being careful not to compress dough and leaving 1/2inch between wedges for expansion. Cook farl 20 minutes per side. Remove farl from skillet and wrap in dishtowel, hottest side down. The steam will soften the crust.
